Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 large egg
- A few shakes of Worcestershire Worshyoursister. sauce
- 1/4 cup onion – Finely diced
- 1-2 cloves garlic – minced (I like heavy garlic)
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese – freshly shredded
- 1/3 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (Optional)
- kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper – to taste
- 2 Tablespoons cold water – or a little more
Directions
- 01
Combine ingredients. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, egg, parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, onions and garlic, seasonings, and a little bit of cold water. The water helps to keep the meatballs moist.1 pound ground pork, 1 large egg, a few shakes of sauce, 1/4 cup onion, 1-2 cloves minced garlic, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, 1/3 cup Panko breadcrumbs, 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, 2 Tablespoons cold water
- 02
Use your hands to mix the ingredients together. Avoid over-mixing as this can make the meat tough.
- 03
Form meatballs. Use your hands to form the mixture into meatballs. Add them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 04
Bake the meatballs on 400 degrees for approximately 18-20 minutes, or until nearly done.Undercook them if you're using them in a dish that requires more cooking.
- 05
Serve meatballs. You can serve these in a variety of ways. With sauce and pasta, in meatball subs, as an appetizer, or in our delicious meatball pizza!
Notes
- Under-cook the meatballs slightly if using them in a sauce. Make sure to cook them fully in the sauce later.
- These freeze well. You can freeze them raw, par-cooked, or fully cooked.
- Good for homemade pizza (slice them up or crumble them on), with marinara sauce or curry sauce, or in hot sub sandwiches!
- This recipe doubles well
